An unexpected error keeps happening. What do I do?

If you are seeing error messages when you try to access your courses, there might just be a disconnect happening between your profile and our platform. Most of the time you may fix the issue by clicking on the "Go home" link and that'll refresh the connection. Make sure you don't go back or refresh the page because the issue will just reload.

If the above is not an option for you, another simple fix is often to clear the cache and cookies from the browser that you are using to access Pathway. This may be different based on your device and browser so we've provided some instructions below for some of the more popular ones. Make sure that you restart your browser after clearing your cache and cookies.

 

Chrome on Android:

1. Open Chrome.

2. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the browser.

3. Select Settings.

4. Under "Privacy settings", select Clear cache, Clear history, or Clear all cookie data as appropriate, and then OK to accept.

 

Chrome on iOS (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad)

1. Open Chrome.

2. Click on the 3 dots at the bottom right.

3. Click on History.

4. Click on Clear Browsing Data...

5. Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Browsing History, Cookies, Site Data, Cached Images and Files, Saved Passwords, Autofill Data).

6. Pick the Time Range for how far back you want to clear.

7. Click Clear Browsing Data.

 

Chrome on Mac or PC

1. Open Chrome.

2. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the browser.

3. Hover over the More Tools option then click Clear Browsing Data...

4. Choose the Time range for how far back you want to clear.

5. Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Browsing history, Download history, Cached images and files, Cookies and other site data).

6. Click Clear Browsing Data.

 

Edge on Mac or PC

1. Open Edge

2. Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the browser.

3. Choose Settings.

4. Under Clear Browsing Data click Choose What To Clear.

5. Select the items you wish to clear (e.g., Browsing History, Cookies and Saves Website Date, Cached Data and Files, Downloaded History and Form Data).

6. Click Clear.

 

Firefox on Mac or PC

1. Open Firefox

2. Click the hamburger menu in the upper right corner of the browser.

3. Click Preferences (Mac) or Options (PC).

4. Click Privacy in the left menu bar.

5. Click Clear Your Recent History.

6. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.

7. Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements of the history to clear.

8. Select Browsing & Download History, Form & Search History, Cookies, Cache and Active Logins

9. Click Clear Now.

 

Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Click Tools, and select Delete Browsing History...

3. Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History.

4. Click Delete.

 

Safari for Mac

1. Open Safari

2. Click the Safari menu, then Clear History...

3. In the Clear field choose All History.

4. Click Clear History.

 

Safari for PC

1. Open Safari

2. Click on the Settings (Gear) icon in the upper right corner of the browser..

3. Click Reset Safari.

4. Select the items you wish to clear. (It is recommended to check all items).

5. Click Reset.

 

Safari for iOS (iPhone, iPod touch, iPad)

1. From the home screen, Select Settings > Safari.

2. At the bottom of Safari's settings screen, Select Clear cookies and data or Clear Cookies and Clear Cache, or Clear History and Website Data.

3. Confirm when prompted.
